Representatives from leading meat companies in 11 countries visit Copiso

A group of 25 representatives from leading meat companies in 11 countries visited the Copiso feed factory. They belong to Tyson, Mountaire, and Buffalo Warren in the United States; Copacol and C. Vale in Brazil; Pronaca in Ecuador; Haida in China; Atzal/Zalar in Morocco; Senpilic in Turkey; Cham Trading and Adiko in South Korea; and Adisseo, with delegates from the United States, China, France, Mexico, India, Dubai (United Arab Emirates), and Brazil. Vidara, Adisseo Spain’s distributor, coordinated the visit.

The visitors learned about Copiso’s modern and efficient feed production and manufacturing process, as well as the cooperative’s activities and management, as an example of the circular economy in the primary sector. This issue was of great interest to the international representatives.

This visit was part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Adisseo group’s methionine plant in Burgos, as a complementary activity: visiting a leading feed factory. Adisseo (with which Copiso works) is one of the world leaders in the animal feed additives sector. The group uses its 10 research divisions and production plants, located in Europe, the United States, and China, to design, produce, and market nutrition solutions for sustainable animal feed.

Adisseo has more than 2,345 employees and, thanks to its global distribution network, serves more than 3,900 customers in over 110 countries. It is one of the main subsidiaries of China National BlueStar, a leader in the Chinese chemical industry with 21,000 employees and a turnover of €7.5 billion.
